Description
The emblem editor in Black Ops 2 is a feature that allows users to customize the image that represents them in the game and in the multiplayer game lobby.
The editor overview screen (in-game)
There are a few rules that are used when creating emblems in Black Ops 2:
- Each emblem has 32 layers
- Each layer can be either empty or contain an image
- The following actions can be performed on an image:
- Translate
- Scale (uniformally)
- Horizontal or vertical stretch
- Flip over it’s y-axis (i.e. rotate by 180 degrees over the y-axis)
- Set color to an RGBA value
- Copy to another layer (and possibly overwrite it’s layer’s image)
- Rearrange (e.g. the image in the first layer can be moved to be in the second layer)
Selecting an image for a layer of the emblem (in-game)
The app includes all of the functionality present in the Black Ops 2 editor, plus the following:
- The ability to undo and redo changes in the editor
- An online storefront where users can upload and purchase emblems
- The ability to view animated step-by-step instructions of how to recreate the emblem in the game
